Hover Actions

Some objects in Ovation can be interacted with while hovering your motion controller near them or intersecting them.

Examples of Hover Interaction

Laptop

  1. Holding your hand at the top of the screen and squeezing the grip will grab the lid, allowing you to tilt the angle of the screen.

  2. Holding your hand in front of the screen will extend your virtual hand's finger (if you've selected the Realistic Hands setting), allowing you to swipe between slides or scroll text, depending on what mode is active.

  3. Hovering your hand over the keyboard and pushing the thumbstick/thumbpad right/left will change to the next/previous slide, if slide mode is active, and pushing up/down will increase/decrease the automatic scroll speed if text mode is active.

Tablet

  1. Holding your hand in front of the screen will extend your virtual hand's finger (if you've selected the Realistic Hands setting), allowing you to swipe between slides or scroll text, depending on what mode is active.

Lectern Mic

  1. Intersecting the mic with your hand and squeezing the grip will attach the mic to your hand, allowing you to tilt it to any angle you desire.

Whiteboard/Chalkboard

  1. Holding your empty hand in front of the board will extend your virtual hand's finger (if you've selected the Realistic Hands setting), allowing you to erase any marker or chalk on the board.
