Standalone VR

These frequently asked questions assume you use Ovation with a standalone headset (e.g. Meta Quest 2).

1. How do I install Ovation?

You can download Ovation within your VR headset by going to the Meta App Store and typing exactly 'Ovation' into the search box.

You can also visit our Meta App Store page in your web browser and select 'Get' while signed in to your Meta Account.

Some organizations prefer to manage VR applications via Mobile Device Management (MDM) software, such as ManageXR and ArborXR. Contact support@ovationvr.com if you want to make Ovation available through your MDM.

2. How do I create and activate an account?

Go to the Sign Up page on the Ovation Web Portal and follow the steps. Once you have verified your email and signed in, you can activate a trial (if eligible) or purchase a subscription.

3. Which standalone headsets does Ovation support?

Currently, Ovation supports the Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro.

4. Do you provide support with download/installation?

5. Does Ovation support languages other than English?

Ovation's user interface is only available in English; however, you can choose to speak one of 8 supported languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.

6. Should I buy an Organization subscription?

If you are an individual purchasing Ovation to use personally, you do not need an Organization subscription.

All other scenarios would likely benefit from the additional features that come with an Organization subscription.

7. When am I charged?

If you purchased your subscription directly from Ovation, your credit card or digital wallet (e.g. Google Pay) will be charged when your trial period ends. If no trial is available, you will be charged when your subscription is activated. You will then be charged at each subsequent billing interval (monthly or annually).

8. How and when can I cancel my subscription?

If you purchased your subscription directly from Ovation, you can cancel your subscription at any time on the Billing page of the Ovation web portal. If your subscription is canceled before your trial ends, you will not be charged. Once your trial period has ended you can choose to either cancel your subscription at the next billing renewal date or cancel immediately. If canceled at the next billing renewal date, you can continue to use Ovation for the remaining time left in your subscription. If canceled immediately, you will no longer be able to use Ovation and your account data and subscription will be deleted. Any remaining time left on your subscription will be forfeited. Unused time is not refunded.

9. Do you provide refunds?

Refunds are not available in most cases. Please use the trial period to ensure your satisfaction with Ovation.

10. Do Ovation accounts have usage limitations?

Storage: Each Ovation account has a maximum storage size of 1 GB. This storage is made up of saved recordings, uploaded imports (e.g. PowerPoints), and account settings.

Individual Subscriber Tokens: Individual subscribers start each calendar month with 500,000 tokens to use with Ovation's Dialogue features (e.g. Q&A, Conversation, Interview). Once exhausted, subscribers will be unable to use Ovation's Dialogue features until tokens are replenished on the 1st of the following month.

Organization Subscriber Tokens: Organizations with our base-level subscription (5 VR and 5 Monitor licenses) start each calendar month with 5,000,000 tokens to use with Ovation's Dialogue features (e.g. Q&A, Conversation, Interview). Each additional license (beyond the 5 VR and 5 Monitor) increases monthly tokens by 1,000,000. Once exhausted, subscribers will be unable to use Ovation's Dialogue features until tokens are replenished on the 1st of the following month.
