# Account Deactivation

An account that has not yet been [activated](/ovation/creating-an-account/account-activation.md), or has been deactivated after having previously been activated, is considered deactivated. In the deactivated state, the account will be unable to access most of Ovation's major features or navigate past the Home/Account/Download/Billing pages of the Ovation website. 

If a deactivated account is inactive for over a year, it may be permanently deleted.
