Input (Mouse and Keyboard)

In Monitor Mode, most interaction in Ovation happens through the use of a keyboard and mouse. This includes navigating menus, using handheld presentation tools, etc.

Mouse

Cursor and Move Modes

What happens on the screen when the mouse is moved depends on what mode the user is in.

Cursor Mode

In cursor mode, the user's mouse cursor will be visible on the screen and can be used to select various user interface elements such as menu buttons and speech tool buttons (e.g. play on the Teleprompter).

Move Mode

In move mode, the mouse cursor is hidden and any mouse movement causes the user's "head" (the image on the computer monitor) to rotate around as if the user is looking around.

Keyboard

Users can walk around the venues by using the arrow or WASD keys on their keyboard. Holding shift in combination with those keys will increase the walking speed.
